We are delighted to announce that after a rigorous selection process we appointed Danni Malone as Chair of Trustees at Rise:61 on 16th May 2024.

“We are so excited to have Danni joining the board at this time. She brings with her a wealth of experience at both a strategic and grassroots level and she’s already making a real impact to our work.” says Robin Imeson, Director of Rise:61.

Danni is the Chief Network Officer at Trussell Trust, an anti-poverty charity that supports a community of food banks across the UK and works toward a future where no one needs to use a food bank to survive. Having worked, volunteered and been a trustee in the charity sector at a local and national level for over 15 years, Danni is passionate about social justice and has gained a wide variety of experience and skills in the areas of charity leadership, operations, and strategy planning. Danni lives in Salisbury with her husband Rory and their young daughter Ada, and are part of St Paul’s Church. On taking up the role, she comments.

“I am really delighted to be joining the board at this exciting time for Rise:61 as we explore our future strategy. Over the past few months as I have got to know the organisation more, I have been struck by the passion, commitment and calibre of the staff, trustee and volunteer team at Rise:61, and the excellence and integrity in which all the projects are carried out. I am looking forward to getting stuck in and offering my experience, skills and time into the mix, and getting to know the beautiful Bemerton community more”.

Andy Malcolm the outgoing Chair of Trustees will stay on as a trustee at Rise:61, strengthening the team further.
