Rise:61 Bike Hub: Our Impact & Evolution

 Since 2017, our Bike Hub has used cycling to build confidence, practical skills, and community connections for local young people.

2017–2026 Impact at a Glance

  • 1,600+ Hours of hands-on mentoring and mechanical training.
  • 35 AQA Qualifications awarded to help young people build confidence and future employability.
  • 300+ Bikes Restored and returned to the local estate at accessible prices.
  • Fully Inclusive: Provided all gear free of charge to eliminate financial barriers to trail riding and Bike Club.

The Next Chapter

In July 2026, we closed our retail sales, commercial repair shop, and formal alternative education program to focus entirely on high-impact youth engagement.

Cycling remains at the heart of Rise:61. Moving forward, we are doubling down on:

  • Pump & Jump Track Sessions: Helping local youth build riding skills and access local facilities safely.
  • Youth Fix-It Workshops: Teaching young people the skills to repair and maintain their own bikes.
  • Weekly Rides: Keeping group trail rides accessible, active, and fun.
