Fixing bikes and riding
Since 2017 we’ve been helping young people learn how to fix and maintain bikes, gaining AQA awards in the process. We do this through our weekly bike club and 1:1 alternative provision sessions with young people struggling in mainstream education. If you are a school and want to refer a young person email simon@rise61.org.
We run regular bike rides for young people from the estate, providing all the gear needed to make it accessible to everyone. We also run riding skills sessions at our weekly bike club so we can develop our skills before we hit the trails.

Buy a bike
We sell the bikes we fix, providing affordable second hand bikes to our community. The average cost of a bike is £60.
If you are looking for an affordable second bike then come visit us, or click here to see what we have available.
If you have a good second hand bike you want to donate we’d love to hear from you.
“When you build up a bike from just a frame it’s a good feeling… I haven’t really had that achievement feeling in school and I come up here and I’m actually getting things done.” Jake
We are always looking for volunteers who have a passion for bikes and helping young people. If you’re interested in getting involved let me know – simon@rise61.org or 07541 774770
